Welcome!
First Baptist Church is a traditional Baptist church that aspires to
Worship God in Spirit and Truth, Make Disciples of all Nations, and Love One Another deeply from the heart. The Baptist Faith & Message 2000 is our Statement of Faith. We are associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the North Roanoke Baptist Association. We support mission work domestically and internationally. Some of our favorite mission organizations are the International Mission Board, Samaritan’s Purse, Baptists on Mission, and the Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina.
Who We Are
Adult Ministry
We nurture close Christian community through Adult Sunday School Classes, our Men’s Ministry, and Women’s Ministry.
Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry seeks to equip our young people to face the challenges of this life through Christ centered Bible study, living, and service. We have a youth Sunday School Class, Sunday Evening Youth Meetings, Socials, and Summer Camp.
Children's Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry seeks to instill in our kids a love and knowledge of Jesus Christ through a vibrant Sunday School teaching program, events, Christmas and Easter programs, and an engaging Vacation Bible School each summer.
