One WOW item such as doll, truck, car, deflated sports balls and a manual pump for re-inflating, stuffed animals, small musical instrument such as a harmonica or woodwind recorder, battery operated toys that light up or make music (please include extra batteries). Personal care items such as comb, hairbrush, toothbrush (no toothpaste), bar soap (packaged or in a container) and washcloth, colorful bandaids, non liquid lip balm, reusable plastic containers: cup, water bottle, plate, bowl, blunt-edged utensils, blanket/afghan. School items such as backpack, pencils, individual pencil sharpener, pen, pencil case, colored pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, index cards, solar powered calculator, safety (blunt tip) scissors, glue sticks (no liquid glue), ruler, protractor, small adhesive tape, playdough, stickers. Craft supplies such as Individual craft kits or craft supplies, sewing kits with 1 – 2 yards of colorful fabric, ribbon, puzzles, water color sets, coloring books, reading books. Toys such as jump rope, slinky, etch-a-sketch, remote control cars, Frisbee, games, books, puzzles, nerf balls, stuffed animals, yo-yo. Items of clothing such as age appropriate t-shirts, underwear, shoes and socks, flip-flops, umbrellas, shirt/pants, hair accessories, hats/gloves/mittens, bracelets (both boys and girls).
Cash donations for us to use for shopping for additional items.
The list is endless. Some things to NOT put in your box are:
Candy, toothpaste, used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes – powered or liquid; any liquids or lotions; medications; vitamins; breakable items; aerosol cans.
Collecting donations now through November 2nd.
Please bring your donations to the church office during the week
or place them in a collection box on Sunday.
You may also make a monetary donation and we will do the shopping for you!
Samaritan's Purse requires a $9.00 contribution for each box to cover shipping.
There is a child somewhere in this world depending on you for a Merry Christmas!
