In 1864, the people of Scotland Neck had the foresight to begin a church that today stands proud as First Baptist Church.  Just think of it, born in the throes of the Civil War, it has stood tall through these past years as a beacon of God's love and mercy for all who seek His face through worship and personal spiritual growth.
